Remember this life is a test. If it had been a real life you would have received further instructions on where to go and what to do!!!!!

G'day, I'm new round here.
The white bagged '65 Crown in the above photo is mine as is the lowered '67 Crown that was parked next to it. I like the fact that having a couple of old Crowns like that in amongst all the other "usual" Rods and custom cars is that they're unusual. I get a lot of positive responses and comments about them and hope they fit the criteria of what is a cool custom. (Or is it Kustom?)
Cheers, Greg.

Re: Rat Day pics
Can anyone tell me what type of boat this is? I found a very similar one a while back that I have been considering buying, same body shape with the drooping rear, small (morris 8 possibly?) engine in the front, matching steering wheel and 2 bucket seats, prop shaft going back between the seats, folding fabric roof and a trailer with wooden spoke wheels.38chev wrote:2nd best bit of every fathers day is getting along to rat day
this old jigger was the star of the show

Finally managed to download and resize some Rat Day Pics. Was another really good day at Taren Point. Chris (Mr Cool) and I went there with Hayley (40 Pickup Girl) as our road map! Again despite being called Rat Day it is really more of a Hotrod and Custom Show with a bit of rare and unusual stuff thrown in. Not a lot of 'Rat' style cars at all really! I had a great day, left Sydney at 3.30 p.m, drove through to Goulburn to collect the tandem and truck cab we left there, then back to home in the early hours of Monday before starting work at 7 a.m.! Thanks Sheriff and family for the usual hospitality. Here are some pics, I do have more so if you need one ask!
Pretty sure this one won Top Rat. Had a grey motor and was driven around (see other pic)
The engine in the boat was apparently a Model 40 Ford with twin overhead cam conversion!
This BMW Bobber was real neat and turns out to be the same one I saw at Shepp Swap Meet in 08 for sale. You can see it here http://www.mtalexander.com/shepp08/DSC_5391.jpg before the rebuild!
I am pretty sure this was the old Ian Leitch/Mick Zachilow chopped Studebaker Pickup. Surely there couldn't be 2 of them? Has since had some more Kustom touches though.
Look close and that is a Commodore V6 in there!
More neat Bobbers, a unit Triumph then a Harley Evo Sportster.

Lots of early Falcons coming out of the woodwork! An XP wagon with Patina.
Love Twin Spinners too!
An Australian bodied 40 Ford Sloper for our U.S. friends!
I though Halfdone had finished his truck but no, it was another chopped version!
An EK ute how it should have come from the factory!
Rare Wayfarer Ute (Royal)
Scooter and Andrew travelled up with us from Canberra. New Gloss black looks good!
An Australian bodied 39 Chev Sloper also!
There were a whole bunch of T Coupes there!

These guys drove up from Vic and we stopped to help them on the Highway not far out of Holbrook after an ignition module went. We didn't have a spare module or dissy with us. They made it there okay though!
If you want to build a budget Bobber start with a cheap Jap small single or twin!
The Oz-E-Rodders lineup. L to R, me, Mark Saunders, Mumbles, 32 Coupe, Scooter, Mr Cool, Carps. There were a whole bunch of others there but they missed the photo!
Never seen so many Split Window Kombis in one place!
Probably the most amazing thing there!
The winning Rat did drive!
See you all again next year!
