I was stuck as to where to put this; so I chose Hot Rod History as being perhaps a suitable place...

In the last week or so; there have been several " Vale " posts for Hot Rodders who have passed on. I would like to petition the Administrators to create a new Heading,such as "in memorium", where these can be placed together. It is a sad fact that we are starting to lose many hot rodders who were and have been significant to our hobby.

Therefore I suggest that we create an "IN MEMORIUM" section for future posts...

I support the idea as early Hot Rodders are like our early Rock Stars.

They are all getting on and we will see more and more founders shuffling off to the Big Rod Shop in the Sky

Yes I agree.
The early rodders that were my mentors and "heros" are now in their late 60s and early 70s.
The dance doesn't last forever.

VALE: Bob Keith. Bob was a member of the 1966 US Drag Team that toured the east coast of Australia in 1966, his Big Block Chev powered AA/GD was a hit with most of the Aussies that saw it run as it was the first supercharged Big Block Chevrolet ever built and no doubt the first BB Chev ever seen in Australia. Bob was a fine gentleman and married an Aussie girl he met while on tour, Lee was his life partner for some 47 years, this accounted for Bob doing many trips to Australia over the following years. The rail was recently recreated and now lives in Brisbane. RIP Bob Keith, that is Race In Paradise, farewell to a real good bloke.
