Tri-power adaptor
Hi, I found a 4 barrel to three two barrel adaptor from Speedway motors in the US. Anyone know anything about them? They supply the manifold, carbs and linkages.

I havent looked but it would be pretty crappy , if you want 3 carbs get a proper 3 carb manifold that will work as intended. HP will be down fuel use up , unless they have magically fixed the air flow I'm thinking it will have666 wrote:Hi, I found a 4 barrel to three two barrel adaptor from Speedway motors in the US. I was thinking of a motor where you can't get a tri manifold, yes there would be restrictions but I was wondering how much.torana68 wrote:I havent looked but it would be pretty crappy , if you want 3 carbs get a proper 3 carb manifold that will work as intended. Yep thats the setup I was asking about. Gives the old look on a motor where a tri manifold isn't available.Mopar Mick wrote:

Ya have to be careful of some of Speedways stuff , some items are questionable when it comes to Quality .

Re: Tri-power adaptor
An alternative cheap solution to a tri-power is to use the old trick of mounting an old 671 GM blower case over a 4 barrel carb and craft some covers for a non existent blower belt drive.

Re: Tri-power adaptor
That was on my short list but I prefer the look of multiple carbs. I just wonder how hot the carb gets inside the blower case and if vapour lock could be a problem.steve the ford guy wrote:An alternative cheap solution to a tri-power is to use the old trick of mounting an old 671 GM blower case over a 4 barrel carb and craft some covers for a non existent blower belt drive.
