That gap may be normal Dave .My 49F1 has no gap . I think that the chassis rails are further inboard under the cab on later models .

The gap is normal , there is a rubber that goes in there to fill the gap .

Hi mate, don’t think I’d change too much on that. I don’t even mind the wheels and that’s from someone that can’t think past 15 inch dia. :D :D

Hi Scott.
Yes, I agree. Just had a quick look yesterday because I thought the same thing. Might have to take some pictures and show you. Springs all look the same. spring shackles are the same. It may just be the low profile tyres/ wheels giving that illusion, or at least that is what I first thought, but I agree, it's lower than normal. I'll dig out the polaroid.

Man, after that 80+ load of containers went into the drink at Port Stephens, I was getting edgy. Importer guy assured me the truck was not in one of them. :D

I think it looks good from a distance. someone has given it a quick spray job and you can see runs etc in the paint, overspray on nearly everything, and the doors have bog in them etc, but I got it cheap, so not complaining. cheers

Ha ha! You are so right! :D
She's liking it so far, but it is only day one.
She is not real impressed with the tweety bird "up yours" sticker I put on the tailgate., although my mother in law thought it looked cute. Good thing she is blind in one eye and can't see out of the other one, heheh. Might have to take tweety off to keep the peace....
