VAN PHOTOS

My old 74 CF short wheelbase van. 327 Chev with tube headers, T400, 12 bolt, HJ discs. Recaro seats, B&M shifter, fully lined interior. Selby suspension all around. Went like a stung cat and handled just as well. As aerodynamic as a besser block. Great for weekends away

I would have thousands of colour slides and b&w negs from mostly Victoria from when I used to photograph for Custom Vans and Trucks. Slides are easiest to just scan straight to digital, though I don't have a slide scanner nor do I have time to copy the. PM me with some more detail about what you want to do.

Craig, do you have an email addy? PM me if you have. A good friend of mine is the owner of one of the sweetest XC vans you will ever see, he is also the organiser of the 2008 Van Nationals here in Mt Gambier over the Easter weekend. He is a van nut, knows a lot of history and has a heaps of contacts in the van scene on the east coast and in SA. He will surely be able to help you out.

I wonder what ever happened to that decked out Bedford van that 3XY radio station gave away as a promo prize
Dementia is setting in I cant remember the name they gave it
That must be 30 years ago

I think the Denim Machine was a Valiant van. Possibly being restored as we speak.

It was called the 'Coca Cola 3XY Easy Roller'. Feature was in Custom Vans and Trucks number 11, Autumn 1979.

Thanks Dave
I have a vague recollection of the Freedon machine here in vic as well but as Dave wrote it was Coke that sponsored the thing
Wonder where that ended up ?

Just on vans I know the famous Sandman was a real cool cruiser in its day but I was in Nth Melbourne recently and spotted a Valiant Drifter
These must be getting on the rare side
I dont recall if they were optioned with the Charger engine choices but this one looked to have the original colour scheme and was fairly straight
If its rockin Dont bother knockin :!:
