G'Day Peter,
I've donated a laptop and printer for the Nats entries, created the entries database, entry forms, 50 sponsors kits, and Nats flyer. So now they've given me sponsor status, part of which is a vendors site. So we'll be there again, hope to have a bit better set up with a burner high quality color printer etc.
One idea is to sell CD's of images and maybe video each days events. I should have a new camera by then that will do short mpg files. If they get the go-whoa happening this would be ideal.
If people want to bring their docking stations or cables we might be able to do downloads etc
I'd like to have a phone line and this is what I'll be working on now.

It's gonna be a real stretch especially with the 2 Bay Run the weekend after the Nationals. Virtually everything will have to be organised before Easter. But I really want to get back to the salt, especially after not going this year. I probably won't know until a couple of weeks before.

I'd feel sort of funny asking Larry or Wayne to put something in the mag. Geez if the truth be know they have both been absolutely fantastic to me. Cruzin has come on as a major sponsor for the 2 Bay Run with 6 months worth of advertising and got the lastest issue of ASR on Monday and there's a big piece on page 4 with the Nationals update.

Most of you would also be aware that I do a column in ASR reviewing Hot Rod internet sites, so it's pretty hard for me to do a subjective review of my own work.

Plus it's my site and it's sort of like asking for more advertising.

But if somebody else was to send these guys atotally unsolicited email telling them how good it was, that would be a different story.

Getting the word out

Post by spark »

:( yep I got it, sorry I didn't spot your page in Street Rodder until the latest issue ( ge I felt dumb! I get the mag on sub.) It was only a suggestion and I get what your saying about asking for space in a publication that has to sell space to pay the bills. I think a forum for Australians interested in building a rod is great idea! if only we could get more posts more often. Please don't take my comments as being negative I really do appreciate your efforts in getting the forums going and the info provided has been helpful to me. Regards, Mark Webster (Spark)
