Which tailshaft

I have 3 tailshafts now and they all fit into the C4 auto ok ,however we have some with inside C Clips and some with outside ones ,some have big unies and some have short ones ,the diff is a E series with the round disc type coupling ,they all fit that too ,which one will I use ,need to get it shortened anyway so have no idea which one to go with ,Why did ford change yokes soo often in the E series

if I had a choice between small uj's and big uj's Id take the bigger ones. If hp/torques isn't a priority then it probably doesnt matter except little ones may be cheaper to replace.
