I use a j3 chip as well no problems just plugs into the bottom of the ecu

Well, I got it to fun good enough to move around the yard so that's great for the time being. Poor connections and lack of knowledge were my big issues but I didn't have to alter anything in the long run, no J3 chips or such, not yet anyway! Early days yet though!
