Re: ok whos seen one of these before
Yep, there is a guy near here , in Neerim who has one. First one I've ever seen and it's a neat looking car too. It was for sale in Unique Cars some time ago, thought about it but it was way over in SA and I got a bit lazy .....and the grille was trashed too and I figured there was about nil chance of finding one anywhere. Hasn't stopped Dennis though,he made up a pressing tool and has built the bars from sheetmetal as original...clever guy!

bit like the pilot grilles Col that self destruct without any help at all
and by the way i dont think lazy is in your vocabulary even more so now after trying to go thru that excellent thread you have going well done to you and Kris just goes to show if you are fair and do the sort of work you turn out you deserve all the accolades unlike a certain other "retired" business owner we know

Re: ok whos seen one of these before
Thanks Dave....and yes, there is an awful lot of that going on...especially now since hotrodding became a mainstream pursuit . Shifty blokes look at the dough being spent and see dollar signs, and generally the intention is to move in and make a big noise about how clever they are, ream a bunch of folks and then disappear....with the dough of course and often leaving a trail of destruction that sees the reamed out folks usually giving up and moving on....no more effin' hotrods for them. It always surprises me though, just how many folks will commit their build to someone who has never finished a car and can't show an example of their work to a prospective client...

Re: ok whos seen one of these before
We had a lovely green Pilot for our daily mid 60s.
Stock as a rock but sure did sound good. Prior to that
was a 34 Chev roadster with a ute rear added on with canopy. Us kids rode in that with
no seats and no thoughts of danger.
Great fun.
