Hi, I am building a Ford C-cab. Starting to sort out the body shape and was after some ideas on the body steel out. Size and ideas on the steel out.

I generally use 25 x 25 x 1.6mm ERW square tube for most of the main frames when doing a steel out. ERW is a bright finish steel tube and is available in a range of very handy different rectangular sizes as well,
Here’s some pictures of a 32 chev roadster pickup I was building a few years ago,

This is the car, mocked up with some of the sheet metal and cardboard patterns attached.

All the door posts were fabricated from folded sections of 1.6mm sheet metal



Some of the tubes were rolled through a tube roller and bent in a tube bender to put the shape in them so they fitted inside the body panels

Thanks, looks Nice and strong. Seems I was on the right path but needed to be sure. I don't have access to a roller door unfortunately but I do have a pipe bender and places to jamb in and swing off it.

Check out how GoJeep did his bends in RHS.

Made it look simple and easy. He has that ability!
