Had to go to Melbourne to the hand clinic(long story) but had tickets to see Simply Red, in 2 words F*#$in Awesome, what talent and what a presence. Mick Hucknel started the song below as an acoustic version absolutely gob smacked at his voice and talent. Next up on Mar 30 is Melissa Etheridge, oh yeah. 8) 8) 8)

Not many Rodders have their own theme song.
It's good to have a laugh at yourself some times, I think it keeps us sane.

Just a suggestion.... should this thread be moved over, now we have a "shed"?

I was looking around for Gloria (aka Alan Jones) and found these today..... Maybe I need to start a "clean" comedy section....

My music?

Anything from the '60's into mid '70's will do me.
Favourite band is The Hollies then maybe The Bee Gees.
But heavy rock is fine too.

The Bee Gees, my wife went out with Barry Gibb before we met, still has a hand written love letter from him. 8) 8) 8) 8)

I wonder what it would be worth now if we put it on the market.

I guess we could think of it as being our super for our retirement.

NO I couldn't do that to her as she has a lot of fond memories of them, she first met the Bee Gees when they moved to Sydney and rented one of her fathers units at Maroubra, this was around the time they released, if my memory serves me correctly, Wine and Women.

She used to baby sit the younger one, Andy Gibb, had even changed his nappy a few times.

Cheers, Mudgy

Now your talking Mudgy.
Uncle Doug was brilliant. You could always tell who had him on in the car while stuck in traffic because they were pissing themselves laughing. Calls from Gloria were my favourite, but what about the Police Spokesperson, Jack Africa, the Two Lens and of course Madame Zenda. We actually timed our Friday morning sales meetings to after 9am so the reps could all listen to Madame Zendas predictions before we went into the office.
I've discovered a bunch of his last weeks on the MMMs on You Tube including his anti- ads. He was one of a kind.
The older I get, the more everyone else can bite my arse.

The "Doug User" stickers were a pisser as well. Still got some. Ole "Uncle Dougie" was one of a kind. :D :D Ah, but unfortunately, that's when music was cool and D.J's ( as opposed to 'radio personalities') were talented and worth listening to.
