Just spoke to Kevin Goudie who is Bobs brother he was very interested in the Thing & was surprised to find out it still existed ,he thought it had been parted out or scrapped years ago,He gave me Bobs phone number have tried it but he must be out ,left a message hopefully he will get in touch.

Just spoke with Bob he was blown away to find out that the Thing was still in existence,he had lost track of it over 25 years ago.

Cool to hear that Bob has been updated regarding the existance of the car.
Did you ask him about pics and/or the history of the car.
I am sure it would be of interest to those viewing this post.

Bob is touring SA at the moment & said when he gets back ,we will get together & have a look through his stuff ,can't wait.
Spoke to number of blokes in Deni today & Bear (Brian ) said that he was there the day the photos were taken in 69 ,spoke to Col who did the signwriting & he is going to look through his shed as he is certain he still has the photos he took when he did the signwriting.
I tell you what this is fun! :D 8)

I spoke to Bob @ Bairnsdale Vintage Drag met @ Easter and he has bought THE THING back and is rebuilding it ready for the next Vintage Drag Meeting

The Thing is very, very cool 8). Reminds me of something Tommy Ivo would have strung together.

Would love to see some photos of it when it makes it back to the track.
