Have a mate up here in Q'ld who has an original Repco x-flow on his FX sedan. There's an article I have in an old 'Custom Rodder' magazine. Really trick and gives the old grey motor some extra grunt
Geeze that'd have to be John I'd reckon.....????

Yeah it's an awesome car alright, He would've forgotten more about grey motor performance than most will even know.(awesome collection of bits too :D )

Last time I spoke to him he had just sold a very interesting piece that is going into a yellow FB sedan from memory.....

You see them now and then, although I haven't seen one for sale for 5 years and it was a bare had and was $4500

Here is one in a sprint car.

They are Speedcars, or Midgets, GFC, not sprintcars. Nice vid all the same. Where did you film it?

in the mid 1980's there was a black FJ/FX, think it was an FJ for sale in a car yard in Springwood in the Blue Mts, it had a set of chromies, lowered, nice looking car.....the salesman opened the bonnet for me and there was a Repco X flow head with a single DCOE Weber hanging off it......car was registered, nothing super special apart from the head, but was the only time I'd seen one on the road apart from Bob Millburns blue bucket.......the car was sold pretty quick, would be interested if anyone knows of it................andyd

I'm currently building a hot grey for my car. I'd bust a nut if I could get hold of a cross flow.

I agree, the old school if so interesting and so much better then the old 5.0 injected VN motor conversion.

Saw a real clean Repco cross flow head valve cover once at the Campbelltown swap meet in S.A. years ago for 20 bucks. I didn't buy it because I thought "why buy that if you didn't have the rest?" .... Can't believe that I didn't buy it just for interest sake. Great show and tell item nowadays. Must have been a real dickhead back then.
