In respect of Carps, and if your still there and see this Pete, please, please, please don't delete it.
Just thought I'd bump this thread back up again, because as it stands aside from Col's thread, this is arguably the best thread that ever graced this forum, and a good history lesson for those that haven't been around long.
For those that haven't seen it, check it out, it will keep you occupied for a while.
Enjoy while it still exists.

Can't believe I made this comment four years ago, and here we are today now with a new publication that has a large focus on our rich history.mick wrote:I have often in conversation to new Rodders explained how they should learn more about what they're involved in, IMO if you do not understand where Hotrodding has come from you cannot fully appreciate what it is your involved in, its a damn site more than simply building or owning a car.Carps wrote:
Maybe we need to be a little more pro-active in nurturing and educating the newcomers, spreading the knowldge and helping make sure everybody understands.
Its a pity we don't have a local quarterly book here like The Rodders Journal which is a history lesson in each issue, it would be invaluable to teaching local people about our rich past.
Australian Hotrodder a new book by Graham Smith which is the very thing I was talking about way back then.
And again for anyone who hasn't yet gone through this thread, do yourself a favour, it's a bloody ripper.
If you see it on a trailer dial 000 its probably stolen.

Andrew might be able to sort it out, but he's off trekking to Valla so it might have to wait until he returns.

Re: CARPSPICS - If history & variety bug you please don't en
Sorry folks but I've been done with photobuckit ever since they tried to screw me by charging for all the images I'd already paid them to store for me.
So I deleted everything and told them not very politely what I thought of their business practices and to go and fornicate with themselves.
A good number of the images that were here have been posted on face book but if you're not registered on my 'friend' list than I'm guessing you cant see them.
As for the story of the FJ, well it changed forever on the 10th of February 2015, when the gal in the story lost her brief battle with that mongrel C disease.
Life has changed a lot since than and so too have my priorities. However another chapter in the history of my Holden and my 33 Ford are about to be written.

Thanks for that Carps.
Now you have to keep us up to date with the FJ and the 33.
Looking forward to those stories.
