I would not get too concerned about the definite year Chucky , plus or minus a couple is no issue .These things have wide inter changeability for re building. One thing to look at is the long pivot bolts for the lower control arms . Make sure they are not frozen or rusted in . They are supposed to be assembled with copper coat or anti seize . If not, and subjected to wet damp conditions over the years will have them near impossible to remove when you have to replace the bushes . .

I just noticed some commonality . I am from Victoria . "The Deep South" here in OZ . Those states north of us over the river in some circles refer to us Victorians as "Mexicans"

Yeah I've heard about that issue with the lower control arm pivot bolts from others stating that it's another reason not to weld the crossmember in as they are sometimes almost impossible to remove if frozen up . The main reason for wanting to know the year was for parts replacement or compatible with existing parts. No biggie...............

Ha, I'm not that close to the southern border but we do have plenty of Mexicans here .

Just saying a quick hello

I'm a Victorian based Kiwi that was into early vw buses (gave them away when they became smsf investments)
I am helping a mate put a windowless 62 EK panelvan back on the road, replacing floors, inner and outer (outie ?) sills, most of the cab floor, rear quarters, etc. I'm not a Holden fan but this should look bitchy when completed. Its a few weeks away from going to the beaters, so we have just started on a 30 roadster on 32 rails. I bought a SS vt commodore for the running gear but unfortunately the trans is lunched so will have to get that looked at. . The laser cut rails turned up on friday so we will get into it this weekend I would love to build a traditional HAMB inspired rod but it seems our laws are pretty stringent so will have to work with what we got. Wish us luck and I appreciate any input !

Hi Guys

Been lurking around for a while and finally joined up.
I have 1958 Customline that I restored to driver quality 3 years ago as I love the Y Blocks and I have just bought 1940 Ford Deluxe that has been hotroded quite a few years ago.
It recently has had the flathead swapped out for 350 crate motor and 350 tranny.
The missus made me sell my 1964 Thunderbird that I imported 2 years ago before I could get a rod, but I love the 40 already

Yes but we made the yellow a bit brighter.
My wife calls it the Ronald McDonald car!
