I got all the blocks welded in saturday,front end sitting in place ,diff sitting in place,cardboard patern cut for k frame just need to sit motor and box in to make sure k frame clears

Did you weld up all of the holes completely or weld nuts behind the ones you were going to use?

Not much inside , cheep rebuild kit from USA bit over a grand came with cam lifters timing set bearings gaskets oil pump and pistons , i bought Scat rods $570 same cost as resize my old ones , pair of GT40P heads $550 Edlebrock inlet 600 Holley $100 and Arp head and main bolts

I have a couple of early/mid 90’s 5 L Fairlane motors, the best/lower Km one will go in the Ute, just wondering what improvements
would be worthwhile if I do the other one up as a replacement for later on, are those heads the ones used in the Tickford version.
Are they readily available ?

Dont know much about them ,but they flow as good as Alloy heads

After your first post on these I didn't understand what you were attempting to achieve. Now that it's completed I'm a bit upset you didn't do it sooner. I have recently completed mine by simply shaping the holes for each end of the grommet. The recess is a brilliant idea which looks very neat.
