Re: Project 56 F100
Bumper is way better.
Can be chromed for sure, but the worse it is to start with, the more it costs. Be around $1000 I would say.

Re: Project 56 F100
I happened to be on my way back from Taree when I looked on the local classifieds and this truck body was for sale, I called the guy it was for sale for a grand, I offered the guy $500 and I happened to be in my work truc so he agreed and I bought it home, the back part was given to me by an old friend Mike O’Sullivan.
Anyhow I’m feeling orgasmic when I finally fitted the hood.
It still needs a bit of tweaking to get it exact. But now I can see the light.

Be interesting to see how the chrome wrap goes with time too.
I thought about doing a copper wrap on mine.

Re: Project 56 F100
Well recently I’ve been hard at it, I was trying to integrate the Ford factory wiper and flasher switches, after may hours of confusion it turned out I needed to use the electronic factory module cause otherwise the switched by themselves lack all the functions, this or start fitting NO and NC relays, I thought, I don’t need this, my electronics are complicated enough without my escalating it further, so I went back to a floor dipper switch and a push pull wiper switch, with this problem solved and would you believe both new headlight globes were faulty, one had no HB and the other LB.
All lights and operators working it was time for a drive... turned the key and BINGO! Fired right up, next with my heart pounding and me in histerickx it cruised away....fucken WOW almost wore out the driveway, so smooth, quite and tuff sounding. Air ride so far is smooth, steering nice and easy but the engine and tranny now need final tuning. I booked it into have them tuned on the Dyno then off to get the wheels aligned, then call the engineer and get it roaded
Then I need to get the trim done by doing something I hate doing, I’m not sure if I my have an allergic reaction to spending up on the trim.
Even Angus the horse was impressed, I can’t wipe the smile off my dial.
