Sydney Hot Rod Show!!!
OK, so who's going?
I'm planning on heading down Saturday some time, probably around lunch time.
This time we HAVE to get a HRBRI group mug shot.
I'll have my camera.

It's OK, I'm not really from Sydney, I just moved there, but now I'm back in Perth so I'm normal again.

You mean this old heap Sean???
I saw it last year, but I see it's part of the Meguiar's Show Car Superstars thingamebob.
I do like car shows, so much in fact that I spent 5 years on the committee of the WA State Titles Show, so I know how much work goes in to organising them and how much support they need from each and every Hot Rodder out there.
So yes, I will be going, yes I will have my camera, yes I will take heaps of pics and yes I will risk breaking my camera to take a HRBRI group shot.
Git yer lazy asses down there and check it out. There will be some top cars there including cars from every state that you would've never seen before.
How about we meet near the Meguiar's stand. I imagine they'll have something setup there.

I've only been to the last two shows as I was back in Perth before then. The first year I went (2001) the show was spread out over a couple of old woolsheds. The cars were pretty good, but the layout and presentation of the venue was pretty crap.
Last year they held it in one of the newer pavillions, and it was quite nice.
I've got pics HERE
The neat thing is, they have it in conjunction with Motorex which means there are a whole bunch of restored cars as well as other special interest stuff. The old hydros were cool last year.
Do yourself a favour and get down there.
Hey jahoota! Who says you can't take kids to a Hot Rod Show???

Unfortuneatley both of mine get bored pretty quickly at these types of events I reckon when I get the beast finished and I start taking them to netball & soccer on saturdays they'll change their mindBrootal wrote:Hey jahoota! Who says you can't take kids to a Hot Rod Show???
Saturday is generally always a right off due to kids sport. The car show this weekend is just going to have to be a "wait and see what else is on the agenda" excercise....

Sorry "Guest" (that's an interesting name), I meant to answer it, but I got sidetracked with my rant. It happens...Anonymous wrote:So i8s anybody going to answer my questions?
Sean has already filled you in on the details. In regards to what else is there to do, maybe we can sort something out at the show.
When you say "furrin" do you mean like overseas furrin, or are you coming down from Newcastle or somewhere???
