Oh dear, I just read the HAMB. 28A is still on an enforced break from here. We kind of hoped that during that break he may have reflected on things, all I can say is oh dear........................tbone wrote:Hey 28A - the boys over at the HAMB sure dont like being told that their rod building skills aren't up to speed!!! With your trademark diplomacy and tact you seem to have sparked an international incident.

Hey Dave - I removed my reply because after I thought about it I thought it was a bit rude to the young fella by outing his"international incident" on his own post - but really ...he's excelled himself hasn't he! Telling that Hamber "That shit's gonna break" and then telling the guy he had a "f***ing arrogant and stupid attitude" was pure gold! I love his work
BTW Nick - keen to see the build when they let you out of the naughty corner!

well to be honest , hes right its a dogs breakfast ,but he could have put it a bit better,im just wondering if those rods are cast iron or cast steel so i asked the question ,nicely ,if they are cast iron ,it will break ,no doubt about that dont matter how many gussets you put there ,i cant believe the engineering that goes on over there :shock:and the welding looks like birdshit

Sadly the kid has some promising abilities and the potential to become a pretty good fabricator, though his penchant for opening his mouth in a totally inappropriate manner undoes most of his good work. A few here have tried to take him under their wing (not me, I would not have the patience!) alas without much success so far! I sincerely hope for his own sake that he learns to engage the brain before the mouth (or keyboard) in future. Then he might become known for his work rather than his seemingly unstoppable ability to put everyone else offside. He is doing himself a dis-service by not getting that under control.

Sorry to be blunt, but he is an idiot.
He needs to get out of the mindset that he can say whatever he wants on the internet, because all it will take is to tick off the wrong person.

Suppose i'll add an update in for him.
From what ive noticed recently, we went out to the northside, and He bought a Windscreen, With the wooden surrounds, etc. The whole thing.
We chatted to the guy, He was pretty cool. Really interesting learning some of the stuff he had to say about his trips to america, Had some cool cars for sale aswell. Always interesting.. Never know what you're gonna find i guess.
He's got a body for the Roadster too, Rear quarters, and the rails, etc. I'll post a pic ina sec.
All in all it's coming along alright. Suppose he just needs to learn a bit with talking on the net...
ACTUALLY... Here's something ironic!
When i was younger, he taught me a life lesson which i still go by today (And has saved me alot of trouble)
"Think about what youre gonna say.. Think about if people wanna hear it, and then decide wether or not to say it"
So of course, I dont speak 75% of whats on my mind!!
But yeah... ..Irony, eh?
