i guess we shouldnt put shit on other peoples build but that mount leaves a bit to be desired ,if in fact those rods are forged ,his welding process is ok ,maybe a side gusset would help too,to me it looks a bit ugly but i guess it would do the job .id love to see the look on a tac inspectors face if you tried that up here

Just a thought, but maybe when he is allowed back, maybe his posts go to a moderator for approval before it is plastered on the board?

I do enjoy watching what he does, he just needs to learn manors.

I looked on the H.A.M.B and he hasn't posted on there for a while, maybe they booted him from there as well, little wonder after some of his comments over there,
28A ( That steering box "mount" has got to be the most unsafe thing i think i've ever seen..) OR

28A I'm certainly not upset. I bought up about a grands worth of rare parts from you guys and had them brought over here a few weeks ago. Suck on that

28A Yes but the exception is Travis Pastrana isn't going to kill anyone but himself jumping out of a plane without a paracute. This kind of attitude is frankly fucking arrogant and stupid.

As is this..

28A You need to remake that steering box mount because that shit looks like it'll break in no time at all, then you'll be cruising down the other side of the road and soon enough you'll kill someone.

This is what our rules require we run over here for a steering box mount. I've used a '40 box on my Roadster and by the rules, we are required to run a plate that is minimum 12mm thick. I have only tacked it in these pictures, but it illustrates what you should have something similar to....................

He's got a few more parts here and there for it, and restored some tacho aswell. As far as work on it im not sure of. I havent asked, or been around his place in a while. He's been doing a bit of metal flake paint on the ek however, ..He needs to stick to one project at a time. I'll ask about the roadster tomorrow.

I just read 9 pages of Stars interesting and provocative car building expo.
He was an interesting character.
It's his birthday today.
What a lesson in not listening and bad manners.
