Well, I think making dummy stuff has to stop for a while, and time to make the real deal (= shell out a few $$$)

Dreamt up a heat shield for under the fuel tank (needs to be about 80mm longer at the front though)

Got it all sitting back in, seems to look/work OK for me.

So I think I'll need to make a small left to right bolt-in rail, to hang the mufflers off... not sure yet.

any-hoo, thanks for looking.

Cheers, Mudgy

Nice CAD work Mudgy, its all progress and making the real deal is so much easier when you know exactly what you want.

It's all part of the fun, frustration and finally the satisfaction of building our projects, keep at it mate.

Thanks Pete,
I did make one more small bit last night from all that's left of my C channel.
Postimage isn't loading, so I'll try later on today.

Nice work Mudgy. Some meticulous planning beforehand and mocking up pays dividends.

Just extended it and make it look like ground effects!
People will think it has a race car chassis! :)

Not to try at all, is to guarantee it!

Thanks Frank... It's easier to see what I can and can't do if something inhabits the space... the cardboard and the corflute cost me nothing except the sticky tape. And the Ag pipe was cheap as chips.

HAHA Marcus.... a diffuser... I'd have to go full Tokyo drift/widebody to pull that look off

I hope I can use this. Otherwise it was an excercise in wasting a disc.

Angle grinder cut shaping I found can be eliminated by using a Plasma cutter. Purchased a cheapy unit some time back from Aldi. cuts up to 10mm metal. Made things quicker. Especially when it got to chassis boxing plate.

I agree Frank, the plasma cutter was a godsend when it came to making my chassis boxing plates, I can't even imagine how many cutting discs I would have used doing that

A jigsaw with a decent metal blade works well for this sort of thing also .
