What front seats/steering column did you use?

If the rear guards are wider, then custom running boards, right? And did that mean front guards got a tickle-up too?

Hello everyone,
Not much car - wise going on... but I hope to change that soon.

Got a ton of domestics done...in saying that; I'm in the middle of another bedroom tear-down & re-build... got mould problems in the wall frames and roof trusses.
Done whirly-birds on the roof, and vents in the eaves... all the civil engineering stuff...


any-hoo.... I have a fella lined up to make me a fuel tank. I am going to do my A arms in mockup and then have them made for real...I think I said this before...

I'm hoping my "roller" inspection goes well.... then I can chuck the body on and go nuts.

I have pics of stuff I've been doing... but it isn't car related so I haven't really updated coz' it's not what you'd expect to see.

Hello OzRodders;

I received a pair of very nice headlights today from a fella In Adelaide (Thanks Tim)..

I took a look at the H4 conversion I did (with all I had at the time) and it turns out I really needed these S.A. lamp assemblies.
1. because they are MINT.... glass included, and all the innards are lke new..... these are the newest pieces I've ever scored for this car.

2. Because I can now use my Headwinds H4 adapter kit without having to modify ANYTHING. YAY.

I also had to replace the castors on my body trolley today.. the old ones were stuffed. Cut 'em off, and welded on 4 x of these suckers..

Don't need these brakets anymore...








So, how it all works is - remove the original lens and reflector..... clip in the alloy backing ring with all the original hardware...
fit the H4 lamp to the steel plate/ring... then use the alloy bezel to "sponge fit" it all back in again... the alloy outer dress rings assume the profile of the old glass lenses. And by the way I have 2 x reflector assemblies and 2 x MINT lenses if anyone wants them. (stamped "export" so that means all the flutes in the glass lens means the "beams" will point to the left.

Thank God I left these alone while I could think of a way to attatch them.









So the H4 assemblies just fit into the ring, and the new outer bezel just "pops in" like they were always meant to.

Here's a guy with a '37 Plymouth doing a light bulb replacement.... showed me "how to do it"




Hope this is of help to anyone with one of these cars.

I'm really chuffed I can use all the hardware that came with the bezels from the USA, and I don't have to dream up any tabs/mounts that could have stuffed up the chrome finish.
All I really needed was some Ridgey - Didgey light pods, and it all just works.

I'm putting in the bullet shaped indicators now, transferring them over from my first set. Looking OK so far.

Got my coreflute fuel tank sample at the fabby's shop, also I'll get them to do the rear trailing arms for the jag bits.
The shop makes replica AC Cobras on their own chassis. Pretty neat set-up.
Been smashing out jobs on the house lately. Finally got a bedroom finished... I stripped that out in Feb 21.
Plasterer came at Chrissy time, so it's been go-go-go ever since.

Yeah have been mate, was gunna ring ya not long ago, been a while since we had a rant!!, heaps has happened up here since we last spoke. On my roller for my car I used G80 leveling rollers, so once in place I can put the feet down and lock it in place
