Canberra Rod and Kustom Krooze 2003

Post by choco »

Friday 24th - Monday 27th January 2003. The CRAKK 2003 will be held at the White Ibis Tourist Park. You cannot get accommodation at the White Ibis unless you enter, and entry forms will be available soon. Check the web site from time to time or, if you were an entrant last year, watch the mail box. If you are too late for a cabin and don't want to camp, there's plenty of acommodation close by (ie, within 1km).
Entry fee will be $20 per car, and the entrant's prize has already been decided. I haven't got all the details yet, but some lucky entrant will walk away with a compressor, air tools, power tools and other neat stuff, PLUS heaps of rooly good consolation prizes, give-aways, goodies, etc. Most of our long term sponsors have re-signed and we have some new ones as well.
The book of the run will be bigger this year, the cruisin' at the park will be cooler, the tunes will be more blasterin' and it's open to all ASRF class vehicles. If you haven't got an ASRF class vehicle, come along anyway, you will be welcome, as usual. For more info and contact numbers:

I'll be there!

So can I stay at your place??? Or do you stay at the White Ibis too?

Can you send me an entry form?
It's OK, I'm not really from Sydney, I just moved there, but now I'm back in Perth so I'm normal again.

We stay at the White Ibis. If you are coming by yourself, you can stay with us. There are cabins and "The Lodge". The Lodge is cool, it is a "dorm" with 2, 6 and 8 berth rooms with ensuites and a communal kitchen. If there's a whole troop, this is the way to go. They are the last rooms to be sold (usually). Cabins are little houses that sleep up to 6 persons with all the mod cons, but you gotta get in quick! Send an email to:

treasurer@chra.org.au

and tell him (Andrew) that you want to be on the database for the first entry forms and advice sheets. I'm not on the committee, but I look after the web site, the book of the run and I'm the MC. If you are on the database, you'll get the entry forms quicker than off the web site because priority always goes to previous entrants (or those that ask to be on the list).
Get to it!

This year I'm going to try a little harder to make it.

You got somewhere I can park the Boeing?

I've got an entry form somewhere, just gotta find it now!

You can cruise with me if you want Carps, hopefully the Rambler will be going by then and should have enough power to cart you there. ;)

The itinerary has changed a smidgen. Check the web site. Entry forms are available on line, too.
The number of prizes to give away has increased.
The Caddy WILL have flames by the CRAKK run.
I will be cruising in our main sponsor's A model tub for most of the weekend because he used to cruise in MY rod when he was building his. Pay-back time!
I'll never get a look-in to cruise in the Caddy, 'cos Danny will be doing some serious chick-hunting.
Well, Danny's version of chick-hunting, anyway. I think it'll be a toss-up between him and Matt Jansen for the top cruiser award. Matt's doing the flame job, by the way. I'll post a pic as soon as it's done. At the moment, Danny has spent most of the last week removing all the excess chrome (well, all the chrome) and filling the holes with bog. He's rubbed the rough sections back and masking it up.
If there's time, we'll get the front seat re-upholstered, too.
The Rambler should be entered if it's an ASRF class vehicle, otherwise just put down Model A Roadster. No one will know the difference!
Bill has threatened to post some "candid photography" of our CHRA/TAC Christmas Party yesterday. Don't believe a word of what he says!

G'Day Bill,
The image has to be online, somewhere. Just post to one of your existing sites and then either provide a URL link or an image link using the buttons above.

HINT: has to be full path name, I've put spaces in the tags, hopefully you'll be able to see example below

Bill, just ftp the images to your web site, then link to them like a normal URL. Even a crippled bus driver can do it!
