I've seen pics of what went to the scrap and it isn't pretty
Most of them would have been the pride and joy of the owners during the war scrap drives mate.

Last photo someone found a nice coupe roof, put it up against that grey 1939 Ford Tudor and forgot to come and collect it.

The problem as far most locals are concerned is, as far as pre war goes they would rather own a dirt common Model A pick than super rare roadster ute. Every ute that goes stateside is one that saved from being turned into scrap, left to rust or turned into a pickup or roadster !

Yes Col Walla Footy club had a swap meet and car show, great turn out of cars, but camera was left at home by some numbskull my lovely took that one with her phone. Not much at the swap meet but the weather was great and apparently it is on again next year with more stall holders already booked. :)

I have been collecting these for a while so time to post and freshen the thread up for the new year.

A 1940 Ford Truck, LHD looks like an old LendLease vehicle left over from the war.

Image

Image

A 1944 or there abouts Chev Coupe Ute.

Image

Image

1920's Dodge Ute, was out of the museum where it is stored while the volunteers put in concrete floors.

Image

Image

Another Dodge of the same vintage, been made into a spotlighting buggy by the looks of it.

Image

Image

A 1950 Plymouth Sedan with the back roof chopped, also to make a spotlighting buggy, must have been done back in the '60's when we had rabbit plagues !!!!!

Image

A 1950 Morris Commercial 1/2 Ton Truck in the same barn.

Image

A cocky I do some work for has got this 1952 F600 he's going to build "some day".

Image

Got this one specially for GO JEEP.

Image

1920's Chev.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Another Chev Ute its in reasonable order. :D

Image

Image

Prety sure this one is a 1941 Dodge.

Image

Image

Inter AR110 Coupe Ute I think, normally the cockies put the droppers in the back :D :D :D

Happy viewing - Newbee
