Looks in pretty good nick, after a clean-up. Everything's there, and it all works?

To everyone who said they cant see my images on other posts it appears that imageshack are now trying to extract $$ for my previously free account ,so here goes with photo bucket (its only taken over an hour). We had a few days off so we continued pulling things apart , and finding a bit more rust .I also tried my hand at stainless repair and polishing .Started with the scuff plates which had seen over 50 years of stuff dragged across them . After knocking out the dints then sanding and polishing they turned out quite good , I might even try the outer trim at a later date , leaving a couple of damaged ones to the experts

Mate that looks fantastic, although a lot of work I reckon nothing is more satisfying than doing it yourself. Coming along really well. congrats to you and Jet.

The last days of our holidays where spent starting to do the lovely job of paint stripping .Decided to start on the drivers door and after one thick layer of brown ,two layers of black with spray putty between we finally hit filler, up to about 5 mil thick in some spots . Alarm bells started going off so we moved on to the back door to find only a small patch and some holes which wont be a problem. Next the front guard with no filler and a small area of rust and today the bonnet with no rust or filler :D . Jet has already mastered the art of finding other things to do when the task at hand is crap

Besides the crease in the boot lid the body looks pretty straight. 8) 8) 8)

Keep up the good work.

Some progress on the S . Panels were stripped clean by hand then sent to the blaster to get the full treatment and then primered. Have never had anything soda blasted before and Shane did a fantastic job , linishing the panels by hand before blasting the frames .

Some more progress on the val . Nearly everything stripped off the car now , we bought a rotisserie for the shell which is a handy piece of garage equipment and also a sand blasting cabinet for cleaning those fiddly bits and pieces
ImageFront end out and ready for cleaning
ImageAll clean and prepped ready for paint
ImageNice and shiny ,its a little early to paint but its always good to see some finished parts
