I have just heard that Roy Fregon (Old32 on here) is presently in hospital after a fall prior to Xmas breaking his hip and a leg. He is apparently not in the best of health. At this stage no visitors are allowed however his daughter Joanne (Raymond Loewy on here) will pass on any well wishes. I have passed on my thoughts and regards already.

Hi all,

Dad was diagnosed with bone cancer earlier in the year. Whilst he has been fighting a great fight it is not one that he is winning. Within the past 2 months he has gone from being independent and mobile to barely hanging in there.
He is not in a position at the moment to have visitors or take phone conversations.

I will pass on all your best wishes and I really appreciate the friendships and care that you guys have given to me and my family over the years.

Rodding really is just one big family - in the past few weeks I have been sent some amazing photos and seen some amazing history of dad in the hobby by guys from all around Australia.

And trust me... the roadster is in very safe hands. It is like my eldest sibling and will never leave the family.

Joanne and family have asked me to inform everyone that sadly this afternoon Roy Fregon lost his battle and passed away peacefully after a visit from his family. Family and many close friends have already been notified. Donna and I had dinner with Roy in 2014 at the Castlemaine Rod Run and we always enjoyed chatting to him about Hotrods and particularly the Melbourne Hotrod Show. Joanne will give more information in the next few days. At this stage there are no funeral arrangements in place. Rest in Peace Roy

I lost my Mum just before Christmas, so I have an understanding of the pain you are feeling.
