I fabricated a manifold for a cross flow 250 back in the 80s,we used a Holley 465 4 barrel, the car was quick and very drivable.

Im currently in the process of fitting an FG xr6 engine and zf 6 speed auto into my sons cortina

Ive had the fg wiring harness modified to suit and the factory ecu reprogramed all up cost was $380
I'd like to know about the reprogramming as well. Also have you had to do much with the sump to clear in the Cortina?

Fg sump works in a Cortina, still need to give it a slight chop above the steering rack or you can drop the rack

Crossflow mounts fit the barra with some minor mods

Will PM details on pcm programing

I would love to have one of these. In a old bloody Falcan 8)
Couldn't work out what gearbox but he still had 3 pedals and the old gearlever on the column.
Tricky bugger.

Thats a BARRA engine Dave .I think it was the best engine ever made in this country ,not hard to get 1000 hp out of them ,looks like it has carbs or some sort of injection
