good day guys,
just looking for suggestions from anyone that has recently done a disc brake conversion on Ford 9inch. There appear to be quite a few kits available so was just looking for suggestions.
Diff is from a 73 Falcon 500 but converted to Chev stud pattern. Any suggestions appreciated.

Re: Ford 9inch drum to disc conversion
Im running a 99 Ford Explorer 8.8" Diff....its about 1.75" narrower,...has a Slippery centre,...3.7 ratio....and discs brakes with a drum handbrake.....
Or you could try the brakes off one of the borg warner diffs from EF/EL/AU

Re: Ford 9inch drum to disc conversion
Im in need of the same but my housing is the large bearing (f100 I think) style, although I did try 84 bronco drum brake backing plates but they don't line up to the axle flange bolt pattern, mines got shortened 31 spline axles with ford passenger car stud pattern.
I tried with ED style disc/caliper/alloy bracket (like the ultra9 kit), had to enlarge the alloy backing plate centre hole to allow the axle/bearing to slide thru and redrill the mounting bolts, only to find the caliper offset is not correct, I potentially need to space out the backing plate to centre the calliper of the rotor ? but yeah not sure what else to try....any ideas also appreciated
