One of the detectives in "Sunset Strip' drove a big white T Bird as well. A rare sight in Oz back then. (drool).
Who remembers Poncie Ponce ( yes, real name) who played Kim the cab driver in "Hawiian Eye" the sister show to " 77 Sunset Strip" and "Surfside Six".
Poncie's T Bucket made an occasional appearance on the "Hawiian Eye" show. It was his own car. Can't find any mention of it on the web. Was featured in an issue of TV Week back in the day.
The older I get, the more everyone else can bite my arse.

Not that we were starved for US cars back then, but it was a big buzz to see him pull out of the driveway in that big white ' Bird on TV.
When I was a kid at Punchbowl Primary in 1959 a big white T-Bird Coupe parked opposite the school on Canterbury Road, (known for it's death toll).
Well, we left school grounds and crossed the main road to ogle the 'Bird and copped it when we were sprung by a teacher. Worth every whack of the cane.
