Life is a learning curve, endevour to learn something new every day jees I hope I never get alz alz alz alz
Mitch I had same trouble with new ones I bought I think the brand was RPC or rpm something like that they are too thin to machine down ...ask me how I know I tossed them in the rubbish I bought 2 more nof different brand it was about 5yrs ago so memorys a bit thin like pulleys were
Had similar issue some months back when setting the 350 that came in with the 49 pick up for aircon and power steering . I tried using crank pulleys and water pump pulleys and power steer pump from my spare 350 . Aside to the long/short water pump issue, I did find different diameter pulleys. Water pump pulley from memory. All good now I had to buy in a dual p/s pump pulley from the US.though.
they look like the pulleys I had got rid of them std chev ones went straight on was nothing to do with my water pump Mitch
I tried them on my crate spare motor as well same thing if it was pump it would mean the shaft is too low
my pulleys came on an orange card from memory and RPC or rpm was brand name
