Re: Freight companies
Does anyone know of anyone that ships out of Portland Oregon to Melbourne as i just brought a original 1926 Ford T Coupe from there . The bloke said that he might also sell his 1939 Chev Coupe as well. I think it is in original condition but at the moment i am waiting on him to send me some photo's and details of it.

Re: Freight companies
Need someone to pick up a 54 F100 roller from Port Augusta and deposit gently in my driveway in Shellharbour. Tall ask. Have cash. Any suggestions, guys?
Maybe I should hire a truck and pick it up myself? Probably still pretty costly???
So, does anyone know of anyone who may be able to do it?

Re: Freight companies
I used Dave to get the Henry home.
Great guy who helped me get him in the garage and he was up for a chat.
would definitely recommend him.
There may be cheaper options but he was by far the easiest to deal with.

Re: Freight companies
I recently had to get an Overlander wagon ( a non- runner ) from west Sydney to Bundaberg, Qld.
Moving Cars could have done it door to door for about $700 + but needed it to be drivable.
I ended up using Andrews Auto Freighters from Badgery Creek in west Sydney.
They took it to a holding yard in north Brisbane for $693 including gst.
I then had it collected and brought to Bundaberg by ABC Tilt Tray for $400 cash.
Under $1100 to get a non driver from Sydney to Bundy. Very Happy.
Both companies guaranteed that the vehicle would not be forklifted, and they kept their word.

Old post but a website that has not been mentioned in this thread - http://www.uship.comGojeep wrote:Wife read in the Herald Sun a few weeks ago about a web site where you could post what you wanted freighted, from and to, and then freight companies would bid on getting the job. Re: Freight companies
G'day everyone
So i've bought this 34 Ford sedan and having it shipped from South Australia to Brisbane, contacted Mark that was mentioned on Tappet Heads post a couple above, he has 3 trips from SA to QLD in the next 3 months or so. If anybody is looking to freight stuff from SA-Qld and not in a hurry etc give him a call, seems reasonable just talking to him on the phone, says the more stuff he gets for a backload the cheaper for everyone.
his details are
Mark 0418 780 506

hopes this helps someone
cheers

Re: Freight companies
Just got off the phone to Transdirect...
All i can say is avoid them AT ALL costs.
Completely useless company, and i'm baffled as to how they run a business. Had something scheduled to be sent on feb, from vic to brisbane, APPARENTLY, their courier went to pick it up and said there was no one there. But.. My pal left the package on the doorstep with a letter..
This went on for over a month before i decided enough is enough failed pickups, i want my money back.. Although.. Apparently their courier attempted to pick it up, I call BS. So, i only get refunded a mediocre fraction of the amount i originally posted..
If the quote is bs cheap, dont trust it.
