I have used, and would recommend
Gerto's Metal Polishing
4 Warner St
Coburg North
0430 195 022
He did an amazing job on all the small parts for my mums vintage pedal car pieces before I took it back to NZ and gave it to my sister

....chrome....bloody hard to find a plater who is consistent, been the biggest problem Dale has with his windscreen frame business. At the moment he's using a plater in Bayswater, can find the name if you want to pursue it....but I've always used Eastern Metal Polishers in Kilsyth ( almost Bayswater  ), who do the polishing and any repairs and then send it to a range of different platers to put the chrome on, according to who is doing the best work at the time. It's a bit slow ,but the quality is always there, just have to look at Waynes truck to see how good their stuff is. They also did the chrome on the wheels of the 36 many years ago, and it's still as new.

Yep that would be good if you can Col.
I know that Dale would have a good chromer if he could find one.
Thanks.

Dubbo Electroplater, better known as Crancy Rob does real nice job, very slow though. I dropped a dozen or more small motorcycle items off to him yesterday, he said check with him in a month, I know he means at least 2 months though!!

It took him 9 weeks to polish the alloys for my XM, and even then I had to go over there and bead blast them for him to get started!!

A long way to send your stuff though Dave!
Cheers,
Terry

That's going straight to the pool room!

I've had a few small pieces done by A Class in Adelaide.
Were highly recommended to me and left my local bloke for dead.

I used them a few times too Chris, but a long time ago and then they became unreliable and also trashed some diecast bits, and couldn't really give a shit when it happened. So they've been off my list forever....and I know Dale tried them and wasn't too happy either.

Bugger.
It is hard to get good service and quality.
Someone else might take up the work.
